Armenian Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defense – Edward Nalbandian and Seyran Ohanyan did not meet with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rassmusen on the sidelines of NATO summit in Lisbon.

“There was no separate meeting,” spokesperson for the RA foreign office Tigran Balayan told NEWS.am, commenting on information of RFE/RL saying the meeting took place.

According to him, the radio station has posted information dated back to 2009. “Then Rassmusen was not Secretary General of the alliance. In 2009 Jaap de Hoop Scheffer was holding the office,” he recalled.

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan did not participate in the NATO Summit in Lisbon because of alliance’s stance on Nagorno-Karabakh.
