On November 23, the Armenian Government and the IBA Molecular Company signed an agreement on the purchase of a proton accelerator for the Armenian Center of Oncology.

RA Minister of Economy Nerses Yeritsyan and Peter Leitner, Sales & Marketing Director, IBA Molecular, signed the agreement. RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan attended the signing ceremony.

The Armenian Government and the KBCNV Bank (Belgium) signed a credit agreement. Under the agreement, the Armenian Government is to get a €5,080,000 soft credit for purchasing a proton accelerator.

The 11-year credit has a grace period of 3 years. The center of oncology will start serving patients in 18 months,” Minister Yeritsyan said.

The new center to be founded in Yerevan under the agreement will comprise a radioisotope generator, diagnostic center equipped with positron emission tomographs and oncological clinic.
