An inspection team of the RA Ministry of Defense left for Turkey Nov. 22 to conduct an inspection under the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe (CFE).

The press service of the RA Ministry of Defense informed NEWS.am the team is to inspect the observation of CFE-set restrictions to arms and ammunition in the Beyazıt.

The CFE attaches high importance to transparency, which is the reason for inspection. Turkish military experts visit Armenia to conduct inspections as well. This is a normal inspection conducted by representatives of OSCE member-states. Sources at the Turkish defense office say that Turkish military experts will visit Armenia next spring.
