The police continue investigating the explosion, which occurred in the military hospital of Bangkok on May 22.

So far nearly 50 people suspected of having implication in the incident have been detained, Xinhua reports, citing Deputy PM and Defense Minister of Thailand, Prawit Wongsuwan.

According to the Deputy PM, there are also hospital workers among the detainees. Currently, the law enforcement authorities are interrogating them. The official declined to comment on the presence of political motives in this case.

As per Thai media outlets, the police also suspect three former officers of having implication in the explosion.

The explosion occurred in the military hospital of Bangkok at about 11 am on May 22. 25 people suffered injuries as a result of the incident.
