Serbian President-elect Aleksandar Vučić has resigned from the post of country’s prime minister, RNS reports, citing Tanjug.

“I resign from the post of prime minister of Serbia. The resignation has to do with assuming the post of the president after the election held on April 2,” the statement issued by Vučić says.

He held the post of Serbian prime minister since 2014.
