The Iranian people will once again prove that they are able to crush the enemies’ plots with their unity and strong security system, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in his address to people after the terrorist attacks in Tehran on Wednesday.

In his words, the cowardly attacks of the hired terrorists were not unprecedented for the Iranian nation, since it survived the “cruel terror of imposed war for many years.”

He also noted that the enemies of Iran are not able to tolerate the “grandeur and unity of the Iranian nation and government,” in connection with which they hire and sponsor “reactive terrorists and takfirirsts” to “hide their defeat in the region.”

Furthermore, Rouhani stressed that Wednesday’s terrorist attacks in Tehran will make the Islamic Republic of Iran more determined in the fight against regional terrorism, extremism and violence.

“Terrorism is a common issue, the regional and international cooperation in the struggle against terrorism and extremism being an important need for the global community,” he said.
