Berlin calls parties to conflict in Syria for peace, German FM Sigmar Gabriel stated within the framework of his visit to Tripoli on Thursday, DW reports.
In his words, the sides should sit at a negotiation table to find a compromise, which will help normalize the situation in the country. Only in this case there is a chance of halting the military actions and restoring order in the country, the German diplomat said.
Addressing the Government of National Accord of Libya led by PM Fayez al-Sarraj, Gabriel underscored the need for achieving specific results, “whether this is the formation of professional state security forces or success in the development of economy.”
