The controversies between Qatar and Arabic states may result in a war, German FM Sigmar Gabriel stated on Saturday, noting that there is still a chance to reduce the tension, Reuters reports.

“There is a danger that this crisis may lead to war,” Gabriel said in an interview with the newspaper Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung.

“After the talks held by me during this week, I know how serious the situation is, but I believe there are good chances for the de-escalation [of the situation].”

Overall ten countries, including seven Arabic ones, severed their diplomatic ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting terrorists. Doha refutes all the accusations.
