YEREVAN. – The Armenian software is overseeing power supply at the penal institutions of the country.

The Deputy Minister of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of Armenia, Hayk Harutyunyan, told the aforementioned to Armenian News-NEWS.am.

He noted that energy-saving lamps have been installed at these prisons, and within the framework of a European Union program.

Also, local IT companies are developing some other projects regarding energy.

“The state seeks to create a state-funded market for these technologies,” Harutyunyan added. “But our problem is to create a demand also in the private sector; to show how beneficial this is.”
