The crisis in the relations between Qatar and Gulf countries can lead to “unwanted consequences.”

Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah IV Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who acts as a mediator in this crisis, stated on Monday, KUNA reports.

“It is hard for us, the generation, which created the Gulf Cooperation Council 37 years ago, to see the controversies, which may lead to unwanted consequences. Personally for me, as a leader who took part in the creation of the Council, it is difficult to look at this without initiating anything in order to reconcile the brothers,” the Emir said.

Last week Sheikh Sabah visited Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar in an attempt to find a diplomatic solution to the crisis.
