Armenia-Turkey rapprochement should be considered in the context of resolution of frozen conflicts in the Caucasus, Turkish President Abdullah Gul said in the course of his visit to Switzerland.
Answering journalists’ questions, Gul stressed that the Armenian-Turkish reconciliation should be considered from the viewpoint of stability in the Caucasus and resolution of the frozen conflicts, Haberbulteni reported. The frozen conflicts may unexpectedly explode one day, he added.
Turkish President noted that “occupation of Azerbaijani territories” cannot be neglected. Abdullah Gul stated he did not want to link these two problems, but it should be viewed in large context.
