According to Institute of Geophysics, Teheran University, at 4:04p.m. and 4:57 p.m. local time  two tremors  with 5.4 and 3.9 magnitude were registered in southern province of Fars, Iran.

No fatalities were reported, Iranian TV informs referring to local authorities. The second tremor was registered in Khonj city. Several settlements near Khonj city were slightly damaged.

Iran is located on seismic fault lines and on average experiences at least one slight earthquake a day.
