Kazakhstan and OSCE in general, sincerely hope that the organization’s upcoming summit in Astana will accelerate the advancement of the future resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully, Kazakh Foreign Ministry quotes OSCE Chairman-in-Office Kanat Saudabayev.
“OSCE Chairman-in-Office, Kazakh Secretary of State and Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev received OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to discuss the current state and prospects of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict on the eve of Astana summit. Personal Representative of OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk also attended the meeting,” the ministry said.
According to the information, Ambassador from the Russian Federation Igor Popov and the Ambassador from U.S. Robert Bradtke informed Saudabayev of the results of works to resolve the conflict, including the outcome of the visit to Armenia and Azerbaijan last week.
“During the meeting Saudabayev stressed Kazakhstan and the OSCE in general sincerely hope that OSCE upcoming summit in Astana will accelerate the advancement of the resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict peacefully,” the ministry said.
