Interpol removed Turkey from its database after Ankara added the list of 60,000 people sought for suspected links to the Fethullahist Terrorist Organization (FETÖ).

Interpol said the issue constituted “an issue of trust”, Hurriyet Daily News reported quoting Karar newspaper. The list came after the coupt attempt.

Access to the database has reportedly been blocked for almost a year despite protests from Turkey.
