The Central Bank of Russia has issued a commemorative coin on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Russian painter of Armenian descent Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky, who was born on 29 July 1817.
The flip side of the coin depicts the portrait of Aivazovsky against the background of the painting The Ninth Wave, the press service of the CB reports.
The coin will be issued in 3,000 units, TASS reports.
