Germany and Turkey will hold talks to discuss Ankara's ratification of the Paris climate change deal, AP reported quoting German Environment Ministry spokesman Stephan Gabriel Haufe.

According to him, the question is whether Turkey can get money from the Green Climate Fund, which helps developing countries reduce emissions and adapt to climate change.

At the G20 summit, Turkey was among 19 powers reaffirming their commitment to the Paris agreement. However, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan later said Ankara wouldn't ratify the agreement until promises are not kept.

According to Erdogan, French ex-President Francois Hollande had promised him that Turkey wouldn't be considered as an industrialized country.
