Turkey will play major role in supplies of energy to Europe by new routes, Turkish leader Abdullah Gul said in an interview with Reuters.

According to him, new diversifying sources of oil and gas will have sense for the Euroepan countries. In this case Turkey will become an important alternative energy route.

He deems that Turkey’s role in the post-Soviet states is growing as well. The country is ready to make investments in Kyrgyzstan, send policemen to help the local law enforcers. Turkey will also render economic and financial assistance to the country.
