This January-October, money transfers effected by means of Armenian commercial banks for individuals in Armenia totaled U.S. $1,267.3 million against U.S. $1,305.9 million in the corresponding period last year – a U.S. $38.6 million or 0.3% decrease.

This January-October, the total amount of money transfers showed some structural changes. Specifically, the share of noncommercial transfers increased from 69% up to 80.2%.

In contrast to general figures, noncommercial transfers received by individuals by means of Armenian commercial banks totaled U.S. $1,016.5 million – a 14.8% increase.

With money outflow totaling U.S. $177.8 million, net inflow of private noncommercial money transfers totaled U.S. $838.7 million against U.S. $747.2 million in the corresponding period last year.

As regards the amount of private noncommercial transfers to Armenia, Russia is undisputed leader, its share being 81.7%. The U.S. share is 5.3%. As regards transfers from Armenia, Russia’s share is much smaller, 51.5%, and that of the U.S. 11.2%.
