Azerbaijan will use Armenia’s recognition of NKR independence as a cause of war, Levon Zurabyan, coordinator of the Armenian National Congress, told the journalists today, commenting on the bill on Karabakh’s recognition presented by the Heritage party.

“If Armenia recognizes Karabakh’s independence, it does not mean that the move is advantageous to Karabakh,” he noted. According to him, the world community may interpret it in the following way: Armenia puts an end to negotiations, considers the issue solved and lays territorial claims.

Commenting on the amendments to Law on International Agreements providing for legitimating legal relations between Armenia and unrecognized entities, Zurabyan said, “It is an empty demarche or imitation of a demarche. Similar threats will not spoil Aliyev’s appetite,” he emphasized.
