Armenia is the first of the CIS member countries to accede to the GPA. RA Minister of Finance Tigran Davtyan pointed out that RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan’s visit to Brussels played a great role in this process, as the WTO had doubts concerning Armenia. “Armenia’s acceding to the agreement means our laws meet European standards,” he said.

The Minister believes Armenia’s acceding to the GPA will enhance its international reputation and allow Armenian companies to carry out international procurement activities.
