Armenia should start recognition process of Nagorno-Karabakh only in case of large-scale hostilities, political expert Stepan Grigoryan told the journalists today.

“If we recognize Karabakh’s independence now it would automatically break off the negotiations and show disrespect for the Co-Chairs,” he noted.

If Armenia does so it will occur in a situation like in case of Kars. “We had no problems with Kars, we just lost it due to similar unreasonable steps,” he added.

At the OSCE summit in Astana, Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan stated that Armenia will start the recognition process of Karabakh if Azerbaijan continues its military aggression.
