Belgian football team head coach Frank Vercauteren admitted that Armenian team won a well-deserved victory in the World Cup 2010 qualifying match. Armenia defeated Belgium 2:1, celebrating the first victory in the current qualifying round.

“Armenian team earned this victory. This match will serve as a lesson to our team,” Vercauteren said at the September 9 press conference.

According to him, the absence of three starting line-up players cannot be an excuse for the defeat.

“My mission in the national team is completed. I was invited to head the team in five official matches. Now it is Dick Advocaat’s turn,” Vercauteren concluded.
