On December 14, newly appointed Latvian Ambassador to Armenia Gints Apals (residence Vienna) presented his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Minister Nalbandian congratulated Apals on his appointment, expressing content with friendly relations established between two states, RA foreign office press service informed NEWS.am. He expressed hope the newly appointed ambassador will contribute to further strengthening of bilateral cooperation.

In his turn Ambassador Apals noted that Latvia draws major attention to expansion of relations with Armenia. He pledged to do his utmost for the development of Armenian-Latvian cooperation

The officials discussed future cooperation prospects, Armenia-EU relations, regional issues, as well as cooperation within international agencies.
