On December 15, Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received newly appointed head of the IMF Armenian mission Mark Horton. The sides discussed Extended Financing Facility and Extended Credit Facility program.

Guillermo Tolosa, IMF Resident Representative in Armenia, was also present at the meeting, RA governmental press service informed NEWS.am.

The sides touched upon steps aimed at developing Armenia’s economy, main directions of economic policy, particularly taxation and budgetary policy, inflation problems, as well as prospects for economic development.

The IMF representatives reiterated readiness to assist the programs launched by the Armenian government.
