Local authorities inform that at least 27 people are dead and another 24 injured after a gunman fired shots at a Baptist church in Sutherland Springs, in the US state of Texas, reported CNN.
It is noted that there are also children among the victims.
The gunman was well armed.
He was shot dead by the police.
The police continue investigative work on the church territory.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott went on Twitter and wrote: “Our prayers are with all who were harmed by this evil act.”
