Head of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran Ali Akbar Salehi has been officially inaugurated as the country’s caretaker foreign minister, Press TV reports.

As NEWS.am reported previously, on December 13, Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad issued a decree, dismissing Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki from his post.

Iran’s vice president Ali Akbar Salehi was appointed Acting Foreign Minister.

The reasons of dismissal are not reported.
