Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said the recent talks between President Vladimir Putin and his Syrian counterpart, Bashar al-Assad, greatly contributed to the Russia-Turkey-Iran summit in the Russian town of Sochi, reported RIA Novosti news agency of Russia. 

Peskov noted that the two presidents recorded the rapid destruction of terrorists in Syria, and discussed the holding of a national dialogue on Syria, in Sochi.

“Our conversation with Assad certainly had a great contribution to successful completion of the trilateral summit in Sochi,” said Dmitry Peskov.
