Former Bosnian Croat general Slobodan Praljak took poison upon hearing the verdict during the war crimes appeal hearing in The Hague, BBC reported.
The appeal of Praljak and another five Bosnian Croats, who have been accused of committing military crimes, was considered on Wednesday in The Hague. Back in 2013 Praljak was sentenced to 20 years in jail.
Hearing that his sentence had been upheld former general said he had taken poison.
