On December 21, Anatoly Podmishalsky, chief of Gazprom’s division in charge of relations with the near abroad, presented newly appointed General Director Vardan Harutunyan to ArmRusgazprom employees.

According to him, the company’s staff effectively worked within recent years. He stressed that Vardan Harutunyan is appointed acting executive director. The final terms of his appointment will be clarified after completion of procedure provided by company’s legislation. Thereafter, ArmRusgazprom shareholders’ council will make relevant decision                  

Gazprom JSC owns 80% of stock of ArmRusgazprom, another 20% belongs to the Armenian Ministry of Energy.

Yesterday former director and present Mayor of Yerevan Karen Karapetyan also met with the staff. According to him, ArmRusgazprom is one of the companies where replacement of management will not bring about crucial changes.
