YEREVAN.- Spokesperson for the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Eduard Sharmazanov commented on three co-chairing states’ statement, made after the meeting between Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian and his Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov in Vienna.

"The statement by the foreign ministers of the three co-chairing countries that Karabakh conflict should be settled exclusively through peaceful means, on the basis of the Minsk principles is very important. This is very important, this is what the Armenian side claims for more than a year. We note that it is impossible to expect any substantial progress in our negotiation process without the implementation of these agreements. We exclude the military solution of the problem, we are exclusively for the preservation of peace in the region,” he told reporters after the RPA Executive Body session Friday.

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, who is on a working visit to Vienna, met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on December 6.
