Opponents of the U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel held a protest on Saturday in the Republic Square in Paris, RIA Novosti reports.
“Israel is a murderer,” the crowd shouted, waving Palestinian flags. Some of the protesters brought posters with portraits of French President Emmanuel Macron and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Over the photo of the Israeli leader it was written “terrorist”, while the inscription on French president's portrait said “partner in crime”.
It is expected that Macron will meet Netanyahu in the Elysee Palace in the afternoon of December 10.
The discipline of the protest is supervised by the special forces of the police.
