On December 22, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad met in Istanbul, IRNA agency reports.

The two officials discussed bilateral relations, regional and international issues.

The two sides emphasized the necessity for the improvement of comprehensive bilateral relations, cooperation, and harmony. They agreed such moves would be of benefit of both nations and boost peace and security in the region.
