Trilateral meeting of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Iranian Foreign Ministers - Elmar Mammadyarov, Ahmet Davutoglu and Ali Akbar Salehi - was held in Istanbul.

The meeting was held within the framework of summit of the heads of state and government of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO). After the meeting FMs issued a statement, saying that they have discussed historical, cultural, economic, friendly relations between the countries. They also touched upon establishment of peace in the region and all over the globe, measures aimed at struggling arms, drug and human traffic in the region and settlement of protracted conflicts. Ministers also decided to hold regular meetings to discuss solution to the regional problems. The next meeting will take place in Iran, APA news agency reported.
