The All-Armenian Bank has not yet launched its activities, but the Law on All-Armenian Bank is already being amended. The Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) has submitted a relevant bill to the Government.
Under the bill, the chairman or a member of the All-Armenian Bank Board may simultaneously hold the post of CEO of the All-Armenian Bank, which is known to be held by Vahram Nersisyan.
The bill also prohibits the All-Armenian Bank from issuing short-term loans. The bank must issue long-term loans for its competition with the banks operating in Armenia to be ruled out.
