About 100,000 people work in hazardous conditions in Armenia, 25% of them being women.
The RA Statistical Service reports that 96,500 people worked in hazardous conditions in 2009 - 16,600 less than in 2008.
The worst working conditions are in the mining industry (40%), followed by transport and communication (24.7%) and the energy sector (23.7%). Every fourth employee working in such conditions is a woman.
