Russian President Dmitry Medvedev has congratulated the heads of states and governments of foreign countries for the New Year.

According to Kremlin press service, Medvedev sent a message to the leaders of Abkhazia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Britain, Germany, India, Italy, and others.
In his congratulatory message to President Serzh Sargsyan, the Russian leader said: “A close-knit alliance of strategic partnership last year was an important step in the progressive development of comprehensive cooperation, based on mutual support in matters affecting the fundamental interests of the two states”.

In his congratulatory message to the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, the Russian President noted that this year will be remembered in the history of Russian-Azerbaijani relations as an important stage in the development of cooperation in all areas of complex cooperation. Dmitry Medvedev praised the results of the Caspian Third Summit held in Baku.
