Iran will continue to build its defense potential and does not need permission from anyone, President Hassan Rouhani said.

“Our message to the countries of the Persian Gulf is Iran was and will be a good neighbor for you,” he noted.

Rouhani said that the attempts of the current US administration to break Iran’s nuclear deal only led to the isolation of Washington, as today all the European countries are on the Iranian side.

Commenting on the British draft resolution on Yemen, which accused Iran of illegal arms to the country, Rouhani called it “an American conspiracy.”

He said if they really care about Yemen, they have to stop supplying cluster bombs to Saudi Arabia, to remove the blockade of the country so that humanitarian aid could be delivered to the Yemenis.
