The criminal group members, who threatened Azerbaijani businessman Javid Sadigov in Turkey and demanded $6 million, have been arrested. Javid Sadigov told APA agency that unidentified persons threatened him and he appealed to the prosecutor’s office.

“These persons killed my business partner Vedat Turan. A person, who introduced himself as a lawyer, phoned me and said he had got a bill according to which I had to pay $6 million. I immediately appealed to the prosecutor’s office. They obtained the list of the callers, carried out operation and arrested six men. I was giving testimony at the prosecutor’s office all night long,” he said.

Javid Sadigov is a businessman and is working in the construction sector of Turkmenistan.
