Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili left for Washington to participate in the event in commemoration of American diplomat Richard Holbrooke.

Saakshvili was informed of the blast in Krtsanisi military training base on his way to U.S., Spokesman for Georgian President Manana Manjgaladze stated.

The President conveyed condolences to the victims’ families and instructed to carry out an investigation. All the victims will be buried on state funds.

According to her, the Georgian President plans to hold a number of meetings with “U.S. leaders,” Trend News reports.
