Yerevan Mayor Karen Karapetyan held a meeting January 11 with Mr Paul-Henri Forestier, Regional Director, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). The sides discussed the EBRD programs being implemented in Armenia.

The press service of the Yerevan Municipality informed NEWS.am that the EBRD official presented to the Yerevan Mayor a modernization program for the Yerevan Underground.

The first stage of the program has been launched. The sides agreed to launch the second stage in 2011.

The sides also discussed the car parking policy and management of the Yerevan city dump in the Nubarashen neighborhood. The EBRD will soon submit specific proposals to the Yerevan Mayor. Karen Karapetyan also pointed out the need for serious attention to the government-private sector cooperation.
