On January 12, Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili will pay a two-day official visit to Armenia, said Georgian Deputy FM Nino Kalandadze.

“It is important President will pay his first 2011 visit to Armenia, as it underscores friendly relations between two countries,” she said, Georgia Online reported.

According to her, Georgian delegation will include Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze who will meet with his Armenian counterpart.

Kalandadze noted that the sides will discuss prospects for expansion of economic and political relations between two states. “We hope the visit will be successful,” Kalandadze concluded.
