Egg deficit may be expected in Armenia in the near future Manase Epremyan, Director of the Lusakert poultry factory, told January 17. The reason is that Easter is celebrated in Armenia in April.

As regards the deficit late last year, Epremyan said that the Lusakert poultry factory supplied eggs to the Yerevan-City chain at 50 to 60 AMD per egg. But people “made a fuss and eggs rose in price.”

According to Epremyan, Armenia is among the five world leaders in egg consumption – 284 eggs per capita a year.
