Melting of snow in Armenia-Turkey relations is over, President of Armenian Union of Political Scientists Hmayak Hovhannisyan told the reporters on January 18, commenting on Armenian leader’s speech in Cyprus.

According to him, Cyprus was a suitable proper place for a speech. “Cyprus is a proper place to voice such statements. However, this is not conditioned not only by a country, but a real assessment to confirm Armenia-Turkey normalization process is over. Relevant accusations were voiced against Turkey, but it was a self-appraisal. He also emphasized the football diplomacy is “dead” and Serzh Sargsyan read out its obituary notice in Cyprus.

“The process initiated by our sincere offer to normalize relations with Turkey, albeit through small steps, quickly came to a halt,” Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan said in his speech at House of Representatives of Cyprus.
