The RA Ministry of Agriculture forecasts a 5.6% growth in the Armenian agricultural sector, the newly appointed Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan told reporters.

He expressed the confidence that the weather will be favorable for the Armenian agriculture this year. According to him, over the past decade, the worst climatic conditions were in Armenia in 2010. No efforts must be spared to reduce the weather-caused damage to a minimum, the Minister said.

He hopes that precipitation will improve the situation.
