Rise in gas price is inevitable in Armenia, Bagrat Asatryan, former CBA chairman and member of the oppositional Armenian National Congress (ANC), told the journalists today.
According to him, presently gas in Armenia is more expensive than in some European countries. Head of Gazprom Alexei Miller has recently said that in the future the company will sell gas at market rates to Armenia, but the final decision has not been made yet.
Bagrat Asatryan considers that rise in oil prices will also negatively affect Armenia. The opposition member is confident that inflation rate will be higher next year than it is forcasted. The government should ease the tax burden to tackle this problem, he added.
