On January 21, 8 ceasefire violations were registered by the Azerbaijani side on the contact line of Nagorno-Karabakh and Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani units fired at Karabakh positions from sniper rifles, Spokesman for NKR Defense Army Senor Hasratyan told NEWS.am. There are no victims and injured.

According to him, there are no new details on the Jan. 20 incident on the frontline between Armenian and Azerbaijani armed forces.

As NEWS.am reported previously, a soldier of the NKR Defense Army Hovik Sukiasyan was killed in the ceasefire violations by Azerbaijani side in the frontline between the armed forces of Azerbaijan and Karabakh on January 20.

At 10:00 a.m. the Azerbaijani side started to fire at Karabakh positions near Horadiz region.

With retaliatory fire the NKR Defense Army silenced the enemy. According to preliminary information, the Azerbaijani side incurred more losses. “I cannot provide precise information on the number of Azerbaijani victims,” Hasratyan said.
