Passions are running high in Egypt. One of our readers, Anzhela Harutyunyan, a lecturer at the American University of Armenia called and told Armenian News-NEWS.am that the people are gathering in the streets. The demonstrators demand social justice, new jobs, educational reforms and civil rights.

“The developments in Egypt are being discussed in social networks,” Harutyunyan said.

January 25 mass actions in Egypt developed into unrest and clashes with police.

Armenian News-NEWS.am keeps touch with its readers in Egypt. Mass media report that Hosni Mubarak’s son, Gamal, has left the country. On January 25 evening he, his wife and daughter left for Great Britain.
