Three hundred million licensed copies of Microsoft Windows 7 were sold throughout the world in 2010. According to the Microsoft company, 300 million is roughly the joined number of households in U.S. and in Europe.

We contacted the Armenian representation of Microsoft to find out the number of licenses sold in Armenia.

“Windows 7 has become a bestseller in Armenia as well,” Grigor Barseghyan, head of the Microsoft Yerevan office, told Armenian News-NEWS.am-Innovation.

A year ago people preferred Windows XP to Windows 7 but the situation has changed dramatically, he added.  At the moment English version of Microsoft Windows 7, as well as the Armenian one are in great demand. The Armenian-language version is available on Microsoft website in case you have a licensed English one.

Windows 7 was released in October 2009.
