On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Law recognizing the Armenian Genocide in France, the Nor Seround (New Generation) organization, Armenian Revolutionary Federation-Dashnaktsutyun (ARF-D) sent out cards reminding all the 343 Senate members of the necessity for banning the denial of the Armenian Genocide in the country, reports Nouvelles d`Armйnie.

"We take this new year to remind you that October 12, 2006, the National Assembly adopted, in its first reading, the draft law aimed punishing the denial of the Armenian Genocide. Since then, children and grandchildren of the victims of that crime against humanity, and activists against Holocaust denial, have been eagerly expecting the Senate to finally put this text on its agenda. Since the denial violates the dignity of those keeping the Armenian Genocide in their memory, the French Senate must not turn a blind eye to the impunity enjoyed by the deniers."
