Member of Azerbaijani defense and security parliamentary committee Zahid Oruj said he opposes lifting of visa regime with Iran.

Lifting of visa regime will enable Iranian citizens to freely enter the country. It will not only accelerate attempts “to export” Islamic revolution but will boost drug trafficking which is much more dangerous, the MP said.

Oruj stressed that according to statistics, 90% of criminal cases are related to drug trafficking. “It is a serious factor, SalamNews reported. That is the reason why I oppose abolishment of visa requirements between Azerbaijan and Iran,” he noted.
